Sam comes from a family of builders. He followed his family’s footsteps working in construction for over twenty years. His father encouraged him to attend college rather than going straight into construction as many of his family members did.

Sam went on to attend and graduate from Penn State University with a Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering. For the next fifteen years he worked throughout Industry with manufacturing plants focusing on the infrastructure, maintenance, and construction of industrial facilities. There he learned how to build lasting structures using sound Engineering techniques and grew his building skills. During his career in industry he worked in many countries from the all over North America, to China, as well as Europe. During this time he built, moved and started up many large manufacturing facilities worth tens of millions of dollars.

He was also responsible to improve the energy efficiency of these facilities and has tacked projects with energy efficient roofing, heating and cooling systems, lighting systems, and building envelope improvements all while being environmentally conscious.

After fifteen years in the industrial arena, Sam decided to return to his residential roots. Sam formed Miller Homes and started putting all his years of construction and engineering experience to work at Laurel Woods Estates. Since then he has been hard at work, in a very hands on approach, ensuring that everything is completed to the highest standards. Sam’s vision for LWE was to build a quality home at an affordable price. He accomplishes this by eliminating unnecessary management positions and keeping his overhead to a minimum. This enables him to pass that savings onto you while not sacrificing quality. Sam is a builder who will work with you on any level, will personally address all your questions or concerns, and will ensure you are completely satisfied with your new home.
